Seasonal Open Studios and 2nd Saturdays

Seasonal Open Studios

This year, our Holiday Gala Seasonal Open Studios event is on:
Friday December 4th, 2009, from 5–9pm and
Saturday, December 5th from 11am–4pm.

In 2010, our Spring Fling Seasonal Open Studios event is on:
Friday, May 7th, 2010 from 5–9pm and
Saturday, May 8th from 11am–4pm.

Feel free to stop by and visit our artists in their studios, visit with guest artists, enjoy some wine or coffee, and listen to live music.

2nd Saturdays

We also have many artists who open their studios for 2nd Saturdays, an open house event we have the second Saturday of each month, October through May, from 12–4pm.

The next several dates are: October 10, November 14, December 12, January 9 (2010), February 13, March 13, April 10, and May 8th (coinciding with a Seasonal Open Studio).

You can walk around the three stories of artists studios and see participating artists' work. You can also mingle with the artists and munch on snacks and drinks. See the Artist Directory for specific artists' participation levels. (Note: Not all artists who participate in 2nd Saturdays are listed on the Anderson Alley Artists site.)

General Info

You
are invited to visit
4 floors of studios where you
can see imagination unleashed. We have
painters, jewelers, printmakers, photographers, sculptors, sign-makers,
weavers, and guest artists, who show new work, reveal
secrets, and discuss special
commissions.

Our 2nd Saturdays and Seasonal Open Studios events are free and open to the public. Children are welcome!

Some artists will be working during our events, so you may ask questions about their medium of choice to better understand their creative process.

Some of the arts you may see include drawing, painting, pastels, ceramics, fiber arts, textiles, printmaking, photography, mixed media, sculpture, weaving, and book and lettering arts.

This is a unique opportunity, in Rochester, to visit artists in their own workspace and to purchase original, one-of-a-kind artwork.

Commissions are accepted and Gift Certificates are also available.
